Longplayer Open House, Trinity Buoy Wharf: 14/15th, 21/22nd September
As part of Open House Festival 2024, Trinity Buoy Wharf, home to Longplayer, is opening its doors to the public and hosting tours and workshops across their artist studios and heritage sites for two weekends this September: 14-15th and 21-22nd.
Trustees and Friends of Longplayer will be at the Trinity Buoy Wharf lighthouse across both weekends to welcome visitors and provide unique insight into Longplayer’s recent past and long future.
We invite you to come and explore London’s only lighthouse, listen to the experimental composition resonating in its lantern room with views across the Thames, and learn more about Longplayer from the Longplayer Trust, those who help to keep it playing. Then enjoy the rest of the brilliant events and workshops on offer around the site!
Join us:
14th and 15th September
21st and 22nd September
The lighthouse will be open from 11am-5pm as usual, and the Trust will be around across the afternoons. Kitty Finer will also be guiding some young people’s activities from 11-3pm on the 14th and 22nd.

Longplayer Library: reading requests
Longplayer Trustees Jem Finer and Gareth Evans have been sorting through books to create a Longplayer library at Trinity Buoy Wharf. This space will be open to the public to use every weekend during Longplayer’s normal opening hours.
We want you to have a say in what this collection consists of, and ask you to kindly offer any suggested titles by leaving a comment on our instagram post below, or responding to our survey: https://forms.gle/JhePnoYDjrTS2r418.
We really appreciate it, and look forward to celebrating the opening of the library with an inaugural reading event in the near future!
